You’re right that I was mistaken when I confused antibiotics with anti-viral medication. This virus doesn’t yet have a treatment, but when a treatment is found it won’t be an antibiotic.

I disagree that I’m trying to whip up reads or cause a frenzy. The feeling here in Shanghai is frustration as people feel that officials and the media are under-playing the situation.

Hospitals have queues out the door (I know because I have to go every day to have my surgical wound cleaned), people don’t have enough supplies and are being forced to stay home, all this and they’re being told almost nothing. I’m merely expressing the feeling a lot of people here in the city have. We’re scared, we’re under-informed, and we don’t know what’s going to happen next.
