Why the VIP’s in Squid Game were Such Bad Actors
Especially when compared to the other actors in the cast

Is it just me? Or while watching Squid Game, were you also completely removed from the immersion once the VIP’s entered the show?
The moment the first VIP opened his mouth, the entire show came to a screeching halt for me. I mean, it was painful.
What made it so especially painful was how incredible the show was up until that point.
The writing was so slick, the characters so deep and engaging, and the acting sublime. I watched the series in Korean, with English subtitles, so I can’t speak to the writing of the Korean dialogue, but it felt amazing to listen to.
I don’t know if someone who speaks Korean will agree with that (although the reviews seem positive enough), but I was totally drawn in by all the Korean performances. So what happened? Why were the VIP’s so bad?
