Their own president won’t even stand up for them
Talking smack about US airline carriers is a big part of the job when writing about airlines.
Cost-conscious carriers based in the US are infamous for cutting corners, so it’s usually a lot of fun to write about their many mistakes and customer service blunders.
Remember that time Dr David Dao got dragged off an overbooked United flight despite having paid for his ticket?
That massive blunder cost the airline millions and made headlines for a year.
While this story was perhaps the worst, horror stories coming out of US airlines aren’t rare.
So we write our stories, and dig in our claws.
However for now the claws have been put away, because it seems that the US president has no interest in protecting or standing up for his own. Again.
