I’m afraid that I agree with “dads” as you said. That thousand dollars a year is far better invested somewhere smart that pays dividends and grows reliably.
I’d argue that feeling rich is something you shouldn’t be feeling, because it’s the hunger that should be driving you to build a nest egg so large that it can support you and your lifestyle. If you’d told me that your investments can buy your coffee out of the interest it generates, I’d feel a lot better about the article.
I also don’t buy into the abundance mindset argument, I think there’s too great of a risk for people to abundance their way into bankruptcy.
My 2 cents would be to start making your own cold brew at home and bring it to your workspace. It tastes better, keeps well in a thermos, and you can take it to a beautiful park where you can drink it and grow your inspiration.
