I wouldn’t say that my article is in reference to practical restaurants offering food we actually want at prices that make sense.

I eat out a lot, and I’ll pay a premium for a better option. This includes my favourite oat milk latte at a premium bakery near my apartment.

The restaurants I’m attacking are those that are expensive for the sake of making people feel fancy. I often find these restaurants in neighbourhoods that are trendy for just being trendy.

These restaurants don’t offer better food, but do charge a lot more and take a lot longer. Everyone I know who goes to these places only do so because it’ll ensure their date will “put out”. I think these people are the only ones keeping underperforming and overpriced restaurants in business.
