I haven’t found that being featured by any big publications has led to any significant royalties for me. All of my stories that earned 4 figure royalties were published by publications that had under 1,500 followers, including my own.

Perhaps Mind Cafe is an exception, but I think the majority of big publication followers are either abandoned accounts or writers who hope to be featured but don’t engage as a reader.
